OSHA HEARING CONSERVATION PROGRAM FOR NOISE EXPOSURE

What to do about high and continuous workplace noise levels

Employers are required to monitor the noise levels in the workplace to ensure workers are not exposed to damaging noise levels. If employee noise exposures are at or above the OSHA action level of 85 decibels, employers must offer a hearing conservation program. OSHA’s hearing protection standards protect employees against occupational hearing loss and provide protective gear. Our consultants assist in the development of OSHA hearing conservation programs, perform necessary monitoring, assist with research of appropriate hearing PPE, and arrange audiogram tests for employees.
